International superstar Andrea Bocelli returns to the U.S. for select concert dates beginning November 30th at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York City. This not-to-be-missed show will feature Bocelli performing some of the world's most famous opera arias as well as love songs from his platinum-selling smash Amore. The CD marked Bocelli's highest debut ever and has remained on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and the top of the Classical Crossover chart since its release in January. On November 7th, the highly anticipated follow-up to Amore, Andrea Bocelli: Under The Desert Sky, will be released on Decca/Sugar, featuring live performances from Amore as well as bonus tracks including Neil Diamond's "September Morn," a duet with Tony Award-winner Heather Headley on "The Prayer," and a heartfelt duet with Katharine McPhee on "Can't Help Falling In Love."
Bocelli received rave reviews throughout his sold-out US summer tour, as an artist showing confidence, mastery, and success in both classical and pop worlds. "His tone sounded full and his register shifts seamless...marked by high notes that didn't linger but bloomed," celebrated the San Francisco Chronicle. The Los Angeles Times concurred, stating, "[Bocelli] has the rich tone of a classic Italian tenor." And the Worchester Telegram rejoiced, "With a sound that truly transcends all language barriers, Bocelli proved throughout the evening that his full, supple voice is one of precision and passion," inspiring, "The crowd to fall in love with [Bocelli] all over again."
Surrounding the release of Amore, Andrea experienced a massive TV campaign with 2 nights alongside Grammy-winning Amore producer David Foster on American Idol, an unprecedented three segments on the Today Show as well as performances at the Closing Ceremony of the Winter Olympics and the NBA All Star Weekend.
Andrea Bocelli's upcoming Fall tour promises to give fervent followers and new fans alike a spectacular evening of soaring arias and passionate love songs from around the world, reaffirming his status as one of the most romantic voices alive today.
