Latin On Ice: Staring Brian Boitano & Marco Antonio Solis

Olympic and world-class skaters featuring Brian Boitano will take on a Latin flavor when they showcase their talents in a live performance with one of the biggest stars in the Latin music industry, Grammy-award winner Marco Antonio Solis. The sizzling evening of entertainment is set for Nov. 16 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL at 8:00 PM, and will be taped for national broadcast on NBC. (To air Sunday, January 7th 2007.)
This evening promises to be a one-of-a-kind special event as skaters will perform live to chart-topping Latin music. Among those confirmed to skate are Olympic gold medalist Brian Boitano, five-time U.S. ice dancing champions Naomi Lang and Peter Tchernyshev, U.S. Champion Rudy Galindo, three-time U.S. national champion Michael Weiss, and World ice dancing champion Shae-Lynn Bourne. The show will also feature Sasha and Roman Zaresky, Israel's number-one ice dancing team, 3 time junior champions, and members of the 2006 Israeli Olympic team, as well as the return of French Olympic star, Phillippe Candeloro, who is performing in the United States for the first time in many years. Candeloro is an accomplished competitor having won two Olympic bronze medals, and is best known for his show stopping and entertaining routines.
Solis has had 12 titles on the Billboard Top Latin albums chart, including four No. 1 titles and nine in the Top 10 in the last 10 years. His 2004 album, "Razon de Sobra" debuted at No. 1, and at the 2005 Billboard Latin Music Awards, Solis took home the Lifetime Achievement Award. Solis' highly anticipated new album, Trozos De Mi Alma 2, will be released on September 26, 2006.
